Despite their relevance for scientific research and society at large, Rls have so far received little attention from an epistemic perspective and there is limited literature available covering their impact on the processes of knowledge creation and circulation. This research project (PhD project) wishes therefore to shed light on how Rls are challenging the traditional "siloed" ways of knowledge creation, sharing and dissemination. In short, how are Rls changing how we do research in the 21 st century, and how can they inform the practices of the next 10, 20 years?
