Description
The European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science (E-RIHS) is a European network that facilitates access for heritage science researchers to an infrastructure of laboratory facilities, research data, knowledge, and expertise. The Dutch part of E-RIHS facilitates this development at national level through projects and training events. Research data play a key role in E-RIHS and to make research data FAIR, metadata are essential. This E-RIHS workshop on metadata (data about data) introduces generic as well as domain-specific metadata in heritage science. Also means to optimally use metadata, like controlled vocabularies and thesauri are discussed. The topics are introduced by experts from DANS, Netwerk Digitaal Erfgoed, the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, and the Dutch Institute for Art History (RKD). The workshop also contains interactive sessions.Period | 14 Mar 2023 |
