Presentation on how the interplay between the locally organized ‘Holocaust by bullets’ and the ‘professionalisation’ of Holocaust violence during the murder of deported Jews in Eastern Europe at the pivotal moment of July 1942 possibly influenced the violent turn in the occupation of other countries in regions where originally less violence occurred.
