Description

NIDI hosted 30 researchers from across Europe at NIDI for a workshop 'Welfare and Migration: thematic workshop and masterclass on the interrelation between welfare arrangements and migration' which is part of the larger Norface Welfare State Futures program.
The NIDI 'MobileWelfare' project is part of this wider Norface network. The workshop and masterclass itself are only for those who are part of the program but keynote lectures on both were open to those interested.
Keynotes:
On Thursday from 11.15-12.30 its Prof. A. Adsera (Princeton University) who will present “Welfare and Migration: A close look at the Welfare Magnet Hypothesis”
On Friday from 10.45-12.00 its Prof. J-M. Lafleur (University of Liege) who will present : “Control or Protection? The Changing Meaning of Welfare Policies in Sending and Receiving Societies”
