his project characterizes the spontaneous rise and transgenerational stability of DNA methylation variants in two genotypes of apomictic dandelions. It also explores the impact of an environmental treatment (application of the plant hormone Jasmonic acid) on DNA methylation dynamics. DNA methylation is screened in replicated lineages over 6 generations. The goal of the study is to characterize the transgenerational dynamics of epimutations in an apomictic plant species, and to evaluate how environmental disturbance affects these dynamics.
