About

Dr Bezuidenhout holds PhDs in cardiothoracic surgery (University of Cape Town, RSA) and sociology (University of Exeter, UK). She has had postdoctoral research posts at the Universities of Exeter (UK), Notre Dame (USA), Oxford (UK) and Cape Town (RSA). She has also held lectureships at University College London (UK), University of the Witwatersrand (RSA) and the University of Oxford (UK). Dr Bezuidenhout currently work for the Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS) in The Netherlands as a research data expert. Her current work relates to the evolution of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), and involves working with multi-partner consortia to develop EOSC training and responsible research materials. She is also active in discussions about the evolution of global Open Science Clouds, the South African Open Science Cloud and the African Open Science Platform.
