Abstract

Evaluation of the societal relevance of academic research is developing rapidly. This guide presents a method to assess the societal relevance of research groups and organisations. The project ERiC, Evaluating Research in Context, is a partnership between the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences (HBO-raad), the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU) and the Rathenau Institute’s Science System Assessment department.
