The chapter intends to analyze those ways of mobilization, direct action, resistance and social disorder which were held in Spanish society between late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, particularly, in rural society, where there were hardly any civic and democratic ways to claim social and political rights. Maybe these actions of social and collective protest did not support a clearly-defined political project or a modern political ideology, but they were playing an important role in the political debate of the State at that time.
