Abstract

After the privatization of the dockers' pensionfund the managers of the institute decided to us the extra value for science and culture instead of improving the pensions of 65,000 dockers. Labour unions and employers were enraged and after 12 years of law suits and actions they managed to get around 800,000,000 euros back. The book describes the origins of the labour fund, how it was privatized and the struggle over the pension millions that followed.
