Organised by the Holocaust and Genocide Research Partnership (HGRP), an initiative of The Wiener Holocaust Library and the Holocaust Research Institute at Royal Holloway, University of London, in cooperation with the Parkes Institute for the Study of Jewish/non-Jewish Relations, (University of Southampton), this workshop brought together researchers working with letters in Holocaust Studies.
Carlijn Keijzer, MA and dr. Milan van Lange presented on how a digitisation project involving historical handwritten correspondence can be conisdered an ongoing transformative process of many choices and decisions. They also discussed the ethical consequences of these choices by taking a self-reflexive stance.
