Lorentz Workshop: FAIR Data for the ‘Long Tail of Science’

A 5-day Lorentz Workshop with a group of dedicated researchers, data managers and ICT specialists, to collectively work on the FAIRification of ecological and evolutionary data. The aim of the workshop is to make a substantial step toward making the long tail of science FAIR and develop roadmaps to achieve synergy between ecological databases, specifically those that collect data on birds. A secondary important aim of the workshop is to create an interdisciplinary research community that uses the combined power of the data hosted at different participating bird databases.
